Hamish Craighead - Birkenhead Clinic Manager

MHPrac (Hons) (Acupuncture), PGDip (Musculoskeletal), BHSc (Physio), BPhEd, MPNZ

Hamish is a Senior Physiotherapist with a background within professional sport.  He has previously held the Head Physiotherapist role for the NZ Warriors, NZ Kiwis and North Harbour rugby. Hamish is working out of and managing our Birkenhead and Fred Thomas Clinics.

Hamish has post-graduate qualifications in both acupuncture and manipulations, and can offer these services alongside your physiotherapy treatment.Prior to his degree in Physiotherapy, Hamish undertook a Physical Education degree, and worked for a number of years in the UK and New Zealand as a Personal Trainer.  He has a strong personal interest in sports rehabilitation, returning you to your sport or activity within optimal timeframes.

Running is something Hamish enjoys. Having completed a number of half marathons, the next challenge will be a full marathon. He also has his hands full with his 2 young boys keeping him on his toes.


Felicity Stevens - Physiotherapist

BHsc (Physio), MPNZ, PINC&STEEL Provider

Felicity graduated from AUT with a keen interest in sports physiotherapy. She has worked with a range of teams including Northcote rugby, AFL NZ and North Harbour Under 21 rugby. She would like to one day complete her post graduate studies in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

Felicity is also trained in clinical pilates and finds it a fun and effective rehabilitation tool. In combination with hands on physiotherapy, pilates is very successful in both resolving and preventing injuries.

Felicity is also a qualified PINC&STEEL Cancer Rehab physiotherapist.



Josh Ferguson – Physiotherapist


Josh is originally from Dunedin where he graduated from Otago Uni in 2016 and prior to that completed a Physical Education degree also at Otago. Josh made the big move to Auckland in 2017 and hasn't looked back. A vital member at our Birkenhead team, Josh also works with the Northcote Prems Rugby Team and is also working with North Harbour Rugby U19s as the team physio.

He has a strong interest in sports physio/ sports medicine and hope to pursue a career with professional sports teams in the future.

Being people orientated is a big part of Josh's life, he currently is helping to provide clients with the best care possible by working closely with ACC and ensuring all clients can afford excellent physio care.

Josh also hopes to complete post-graduate qualifications in sports medicine.




Simon Rajwer - Physiotherapist

BHSc (Physio)

Simon graduated from AUT Univeristy with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy in 2017 and joined the Shore Physio team in 2018.

Simon decided to get into physio after spending a lot of time with multiple physio's for multiple injuries which he received playing multiple sports.

Throughout his studies, Simon has developed a passion for injury prevention and return to sports rehabilitation. This year he is looking forward to gaining experience in the clinic and learning from the Shore Physio team. 

Outside of work Simon enjoys staying active with cricket, football, basketball and getting away snowboarding over winter.


Stephanie Dickins – Physiotherapist

BHSc (Physio)

Stephanie graduated from AUT university at the beginning of 2017 with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy. She joined Shore Physio at the Birkenhead Clinic after spending clinical placement here during her studies and instantly felt welcomed and a part of the team.

Stephanie has a passion for sports, being a high-performance athlete herself.  She is a current member of the NZ Women’s Black Sticks squad, so has a particular interest in sports injuries through personal experience of injuries, training, gym and rehabilitation.
Stephanie has had previous experience working with the North Harbour clubs and age-group hockey teams. Her last clinical placement was in the field of women’s health so she has also gained knowledge in pregnancy related injuries.
